Palm Springs Pride 5k Run & Walk

About the 2023 Pride Run

Co-Directors Brian Eggert and Tom Crinigan describe the 2023 Pride 5K Run & Walk as “very successful” with 884 registered participants (713 runners and walkers crossing the finish line). Our own club showed strong support with 130 members signed up. In addition to members from Palm Springs Front Runners & Walkers, there were over 50 teams involved comprising 253 participants. 

Business sponsors were Ace Palm Springs, Contour Dermatology, Grace Speerman Foundation, Streetbar, Hunters, Blackbook, Tropicale and Beach Cities Dermatology. In-kind sponsors included Aspen Mills, Windmill City Screen Printing, Triangle Inn, Desert Water and Blue Planet Water. The City of Palm Springs provided a $3500 in-kind sponsorship. Member sponsors and donors raised over $12,600. Expenses averaged $24.67 per participant. 

Most registrations were from our valley (310 from Palm Springs and 68 from Cathedral City) but participants came from 30 states. 

Proceeds of $25,000 from the 2023 Pride 5k Run & Walk were distributed to The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, the Transgender Health and Wellness Center and the transgender program at The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert.
